Design is in colaboration with brand developement agency Odd and has been a pleasure to help develop the ecommerce experience for selling Designer furnature with over 120 fabric options. We designed and built a bespoke Magento responsive interface with custom backend developement to get the user experience just right.
The British library will be launching 2 experimental, responsive prototype sites later this year. I was asked to work alongside existing agencies to develop the front end design and user experience and interface templates for this great british institution.
City Lit offers over 5,000 courses to more than 30,000 students every year. The design of this site had to balance exceptional user experience for enrollment and payment along side content rich information. The responsive design works perfectly across all device types and is made easy with Magento's excellent ecommerce engine linked with Drupal's content management.
It has been a pleasure to lead the design and UX for this new app. It works beautifully and consistently across different platforms and screen sizes and has built on existing brand guidelines to create a fantastic live match experience for the fans.
The Paul Smith brand combines a genuine sense of humour and mischief; with a love of tradition and the classics. Paul Smith selected the OTHER media to build the company’s first online store in 2004, plus the US store. This has since evolved into a redesign for 2013. I have personally directed both redesigns over the last 4 years and this current design was one of the first fashion retailers to embrace responsive design. We continue to innovate and have fun working with Paul Smith. Thanks to all who have helped me to achieve this fantastic brand and shopping experience.
For the first time ever a user can now follow a ball by ball account of the match in real time, beautifully visualised in a completely interactive 3d environment. This app offers an unimaginable amount of detail around each match, stats, player profiles and amazing 3d visualisations of performance.
It has been an honour to be involved in the redesign of this prestigious UK design institution. The first was the award-winning delivery of the Information Architecture and Designs for the V&A Search The Collection website. The second is the front end design and architecture work for the principle V&A Museum website.
Providing a stunning new e-commerce and online brand experience for Ben Sherman, one of Britain’s most iconic and legendary fashion brands. We developed a beautiful and on-brand design that more accurately portrayed Ben Sherman, whilst we also streamlined usability to increase conversion.
My brief was to create an elegant and stylish website for Jasper Conran that used statement imagery to capture the brand’s essence online including it's clean lines, quintessential Britishness, contemporary style, wit and craftsmanship. The site had to appeal to a variety of audiences; from fashion students, press and couture lovers to potential partners interested in working with Jasper Conran. On a practical front, the site needed to be search engine friendly and easy to navigate, without compromising the design experience.
Over the last few years I have had the pleasure to work on several projects for the BBC. BBC Listener was a paid for streaming and download audio service for overseas customers. It is sadly no longer available but was highly regarded by the BBC for it's simplicity of use and innovative radio tuner interface. Other prototype projects for the BBC included the Culture Show, Top Gear.
The ECB has been a major client for many years and I have worked continually on the account since 2009, web site design, usability and build. Award winning iPhone app which has gone through two redesigns and is now on Android and Blackberry platforms. The last 6 months we have been working on a new iPad app which will use state of the art 3d data visualisation to show live match coverage.
Sunspel are a classic British fashion brand with a distinctive style. I worked on the first Magento build where I produced the information architecture and user experience work while leading the creative team as CD. The screen shots are from this initial build in 2011
The app includes more than 200,000 locations, such as cities and landmarks, on globes that can be downloaded for offline use. The app will evolve as the world changes, taking advantage of the latest live data to display a wealth of information about our planet. Atlas promotional video
The overall aim of this project was to bring the heritage and prestige associated with Collins’ printed dictionaries to the digital space. Harper Collins required an online dictionary that positioned them above their competitors for digital language products. This is a typographers dream and every effort was made to conform to the standards of typography and language communication found in a printed dictionary.
The Royal collection houses some of this countries most famous and precious art collections. The redesign of the site needed to not only showcase this wonderful collection but serve as a gateway for anyone wanting to visit any of the 6 residences where the collections are on show.
The Rug Company is the UK's most prestigious carpet maker with Designers such as Paul Smith, Vivian Westwood, Alexander McQueen, and Tom Dixon to name only a few. It's products are luxurious and bespoke; the web site needed to mirror these qualities while retaining all the functionality and usability of Magento to deliver what is a great online brand and shopping experience.
The RFU iPhone app has been a huge success since it launched and continues to be a source of up to date information for rugby fans in the UK.
I designed the current Football League app way back at the beginning of 2010 and it is due for an overhall. Shown here are some design visuals of how we think this may look. This has been a hugely successful app over the years and continues to serve the football League well even after all this time.
